Black Rockalypse
I was reminded by a very wise woman here the other day that in this F’d-up world, if you follow quantum physics, it’s important to think positive thoughts. Infecting the quantum field with proactive intent is the new black.
To actively think that 2012 will not be The End, and that the good guys will rise up and vanquish the bad guys with tools other than violence and war — that, in and of itself, my friend said, is a way to fight against violence and war and The End. This age of information — this Age of Aquarius, sorry for the hippie reference but it is — will bring about more harmony than destruction, if we all just squint, concentrate, and hold our mouths right.
“Sounds like bullshit to me,” we’re prone to think. Myself included. But we’ve all done the jaded-cynical-clever thing, haven’t we? And as Tyler Durden would say, how’s that working out for us? Being clever?
So here is a list of 10 things I am grateful for. I suggest you make your own. Happy ChristmaHanukKwanzaachas holiday solstice, and raise a glass to hooray for everything.
1 ) I am grateful for my very good health and my mostly good attitude on health.
2 ) I am grateful for my friends, my family, and the people and pets who love me.
3 ) I am grateful for my very, very odd living situation and community.
4 ) I am grateful that even though I don’t come from money and never had much money, I’ve never truly worried about money, and therefore never truly have had to worry about money.
5 ) I am grateful for my imagination and creativity.
6 ) I am grateful for the ability to love, and to see most things in a positive light.
7 ) I am grateful I have not encountered much bodily harm or other serious injury in the course of my life.
8 ) I am grateful for movies, books, music, and art. I am grateful for story and interpretation.
9 ) I am grateful for sleep and dreams.
10 ) I am grateful I am charmed, lucky, and/or whatever you call it that allows me to be prepared when opportunity knocks.
